Corrections, Statutory Updates & Fact-Checking Policy

Accuracy in statutory rates, brackets, and economic series is the foundation of East Corp Capital. When a federal or state agency revises a statistical series or updates a tax threshold—or if an error is identified in any article or calculator—we correct the record promptly and transparently.

How We Handle Corrections and Statutory Revisions

  1. Material Factual or Formula Corrections: If an error affects a calculation, tax bracket, or historical figure, we update the article and calculator immediately and append a dated Correction / Update Note at the bottom of the report explaining what was changed and why.
  2. Scheduled Statutory & Macro Updates: When the IRS, NYS Department of Taxation and Finance, BLS, or Federal Reserve releases new figures, we update the relevant dossier and display the exact Updated timestamp in the article header alongside the original publication date.
  3. How to Report an Issue: Readers, CPAs, attorneys, and researchers may submit documentary corrections with a link to the primary statute or government release via our Contact & Editorial Desk page or by emailing editorial@eastcorpcapital.com.
